We all lose it at times, but an angry woman is not a beautiful woman!
Try these simple tips to help you stay calm, collected and in control and gain the respect of your fellow colleagues.
Think before you speak.
In the heat of the moment it’s easy to say things you don’t mean. If you know you’re prone to this, take a deep breath, stop and think!
Take a timeout.
It works for kids and it will work for you too. Walking away, calming down and controlled breathing will help you reassess the situation from a distance.
Calm and In Control
Once you feel calmer, express your anger in a non-aggressive way. State your needs clearly and directly, so you can help solve the problem, not make it worse.
Let them know
It may be obvious to you, but people rarely know why someone is angry with them. If it’s a constant theme, speak up about what’s wrong.
Find a solution
Being angry doesn’t fix anything. If you want to stop the same thing from constantly upsetting you, you need to find a solution.
