It’s rare to see Carol Vorderman looking anything less than chipper on TV, but she’s revealed how she was struck with crippling depression as she approached menopause.
Unable to get out of bed or make a simple decision, Carol became desperate for help. “I thought, “I just want this feeling to stop. How do Zi make this stop?” She said.
Last February, after suffering in silence for six months, Carol, now 56, visited her GP, who prescribed two hormone replacement gels. “From the moment he started me on those, I’ve never felt low again”, she says.
“You get to a point in age where you’re grateful for the blessing to be healthy and happy – which I am, very. Now is one of the happiest times of my life.
